CULTURAL REPORT (NAKSHATRA 2025)
The Nakshatra Cultural Fest 2025 was held from 20th August to 22nd August 2025 for the off- stage events, and from 29th August to 1st September for the on-stage events at our college auditorium. This event brought together students, faculty, and staff to celebrate the diversity of our culture and showcase a wide range of talents.
Off-Stage Events (20th – 22nd August)
The off-stage events commenced with a variety of activities, including clay modeling, fabric painting, digital poster making, fireless cooking, Rangoli floral designs, nail art, mehendi, hair styling, and pencil sketching. These activities allowed students to participate in large numbers and demonstrate their creativity and skills. Some participants showcased expertise in their respective fields, with many exhibiting professional-level talent. The off-stage events were a true spectacle, providing a platform for students to explore their artistic abilities.
On-Stage Events (29th August – 1st September)
The on-stage events began on 29th August 2025 with an inaugural function in the auditorium, which was graced by our esteemed Chief Guest, Mrs. Jeevitha, founder of DNA Dance – An Audition Studio, Bangalore, and an alumna of the 2002-2004 batch. The function was presided over by our beloved Principal, Rev. Sr. Janet Sudha.
The program began with a traditional welcome dance, followed by the welcome speech, the Chief Guest’s address, the Principal’s address, and the formal declaration of Nakshatra 2025.
The on-stage events kicked off with a series of performances on the first day, including live retro dance, classical dance, solo singing, and mime. These events were completed successfully, setting a high bar for the subsequent performances.
On the second day, the stage was set for contemporary dance, group singing, and folk dance. The events were judged by another alumnus of our college, and the performances were outstanding.
The third day saw high-energy performances such as the fashion show, western dance, duet dance, recreation of dance, and instrumental music. These events showcased various regional styles, with students proudly displaying both traditional and modern attire from different cultures.
Conclusion
The cultural fest was a resounding success, fostering a sense of community and providing a memorable platform for students to express their creativity. It reinforced the importance of cultural diversity and unity within our college.
